Passports in Indonesia: Fees and Regulations

Sedang Trending 1 minggu yang lalu

TEMPO.CO, JakartaA passport is your essential travel companion abroad. It serves as a globally recognized ID containing details like name, date of birth, and photo.

Beyond individual information, a passport also includes a country code, unique passport number, issuance and expiry dates, issuing authority, and official signatures. While it holds individual data, the passport remains state property. Losing or damaging it incurs a fine when applying for a replacement.

Indonesia offers two passport options: regular and electronic (e-passport). Fees vary based on needs and follow the latest Non-Tax Revenue (PNBP) regulations outlined in Government Regulation No. 28 of 2019.

Here's a breakdown of current passport fees in Indonesia:

1. New or Replacement Passport

  • Regular Passport (48 pages): Rp350,000
  • Electronic Passport (48 pages): Rp650,000

2. Passport Fines

  • Damaged Passport: Rp500,000
  • Lost Passport: Rp1 million

Additional Fees:

  • Same-Day Expedited Service: Rp1,000,000
  • Fees for travel documents in lieu of passport or SPLP (Surat Perjalanan Laksana Paspor) are separate: Indonesian Citizens: Rp100,000 and Foreign Citizens: Rp150,000
